New: Seeds, Herbs & Natural Remedies Projects Are Open

From the very beginning, God placed our first parents in a garden and gave them every seed-bearing plant and every green herb for food and healing. Today we are glad to open a new chapter of the Survival Projects library that returns to that same gift: a brand new category called Seeds, Herbs & Natural Remedies, with eleven complete, step-by-step projects to help your household grow, store, and heal with the plants the Lord has provided.

What is new in the library

Like every project in the academy, each of these comes with a clear overview, a full list of materials and tools, numbered steps you can actually follow, honest tips, a word of safety, and a short spiritual reflection. They are practical, wholesome, and rooted in the conviction that tending the ground and caring for the body are quiet acts of faith and stewardship.

Here is what you will find:

Two more everyday homestead builds join the Backyard & Homestead category as well: Homemade Bio Gas From Yard & Farm Waste and Make Your Own Paper Hygiene At Home, so that nothing on your land goes to waste.

A thriving medicinal herb garden with echinacea, calendula, lavender and chamomile, with baskets of drying herbs

Grown, stored, and shared

Every project can be printed or saved as a PDF, so you can keep a clean copy on the workbench or tucked in a binder for the day the screen is dark. Members can download any project in the library. And because these are living skills, each one is written so that you can teach it to your children and pass it on.

A gentle word on remedies

The healing projects in this category draw on old, trusted wisdom, but they are not a replacement for professional medical care. Learn each plant well, be absolutely certain of what you gather, start small, and consult a qualified health professional before using herbs medicinally, especially if you are pregnant, nursing, caring for children, or taking medication. Used wisely, these gentle remedies are a beautiful part of a self-reliant home.

How to begin

Open the Survival Projects library and choose one project that meets a real need this week, perhaps testing your soil before spring, or drying a first jar of moringa powder. If you would like the full library at your fingertips, you can join the academy to unlock every project and download them all. As you go, mark each finished project in your preparedness tracker and watch your readiness grow.

Faithful work, one seed at a time

There is deep contentment in learning that so little is truly needed: a handful of seeds, a patch of soil, a few healing herbs by the door. It is a picture of the daily bread we are taught to ask for, provision that is simple, sufficient, and given one season at a time. We are glad to place these plans in your hands, and gladder still to walk this road alongside you.
